Nursery Reveal!!

The long awaited nursery is finished...for now!  It turned out just as I hoped and so relieved it is done!!  We have 3 weeks left (...and counting) for Mr. Zane to make his grand debut!!  Hope you all like his nursery as much as we do!

To add some special touches to the nursery I went to the future grandparents (on my side)...My dad is pretty gifted when it comes to wood-working, (it is his livelihood) you may remember my blog post about the gorgeous mantle he built.  But check out the fabulous bookshelf he built for his very first grandson...

And...
I always pictured my dad building this for me one day, and he made my dream come true! (YES! He actually built this!)  It glides too!

You may be wondering where I got the stunning cradle bedding...well in comes my mother, the Grammie to be, she made it, all by hand!  She is a very talented seamstress!

Not only did she make the cradle bedding, she made this diaper stacker:

And these changing pad covers:

I feel very blessed to have parents that can create these beautiful things for Zane and I to cherish forever!

Everything is ready and waiting and we couldn't be more excited and ANXIOUS for our handsome little man to arrive!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!!

There's so much to love today!! I am linking up with Heather @ The Curvy Life and Jamie over @ This Kind of Love

First of all I am L-O-V-I-N-G my brand spankin' new landscaped yard!!!  I didn't get to help much since I am nearly 9 months preggo, but I am still oh so proud of it!!  My fountain is all hooked up in my backyard haven (as I like to call it now), we planted more Hydrangeas which are my fave!  Some Daylilies to border the fountain and then ground cover.  I have a hearty Wisteria bush trailing up the side of my house as well!  Its just perfect!

And my front yard has a gorgeous ground cover called Moss Rose and to add some more color we (when I say "we" I mean my dear Mother-in-law) planted some Zinnias.  Pictures of my flower beds are soon to come!!

I'm not sure if this counts, but I feel it does!  I love that this Sunday will be my first time ever to celebrate being a mother! Although Zane isn't born quite yet I think I have earned a little, just a tiny, celebration!  Carrying your child for 9 months and doing everything you need to do to make sure they are growing and healthy is part of being a mother right??  And I feel honored to be the mother of my sweet little guy!!  Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there!!!

Speaking of Zane, I am also really loving the fact that I only have 4 more weeks to go until our son is born!  And believe me I am ready!!!!!  I hope this little guy decides he wants out sooner, but we will just have to see! I think it's a good sign I am having more frequent Braxton Hicks (some quite strong), hopefully those suckers are moving things along!!

Zane also received his very first set of silver from some dear friends!  Don't you just love??

I know it's been overly talked about and kind of "old news" by now, but I am still loving everything about the Royal Wedding!! It's exciting and fascinating, we don't have any royalty in the states. Plus it was my first one to ever see!  Congrats to Will & Kate!

Last and certainly not least!  I am loving all the men and women who risk their lives everyday so we may have freedom! All the credit goes to them and I could never repay them for their selfless acts of patriotism! God Bless our troops, and pray they return home safely to their families!

I hope everyone enjoyed this wonderful Wednesday!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

It's a beautiful day here in Dallas, so what day could be better to join the WILW world!! I'm linking up with Jamie at This Kind of Love and Heather over at The Curvy Life

Lately, I have been LOVING the La Madeleine Chicken Parisien sandwich - no bacon, no mayo, add mustard!  It's been my "go to" lunch for a while now!!!
My friends have raved about this perfume and I now I love it too!  Plus I wore it the day of my baby shower so it will always bring happy memories everytime I wear it!

My little princess, Starrla!  She is my companion and always so sweet and loving and happy to see me!  She always makes my day when I walk through the door and she is beside herself with joy!

This AMAZING baby gift I got from the greatest friends/family a girl could have!  The Mamaroo!!
This puppy does it all!!  Even has an MP3 Player you can hook up, complete with its own auxilary cord and everything.  I have a feeling my Zane will be rockin' to some Elvis!

This show never ceases to make me laugh histerically!!!!  And it comes on tonight! YAY!

And as always I LOVE my guys!
Me and the Hubby!

And OF COURSE our sweet baby boy, Zane!

I didn't forget Nova, our 100lb German Shepherd!  He's the biggest baby and sweetest boy!

I hope everyone is LOVING their Wednesday!  Make it a good one!!

Showered with Love!!

I know what you're thinking "long time, no post!" but not to fear I'm going to let you all in on what's been keeping me so busy and away from the blogging world...
BABY SHOWERS!!!  It's been so much fun!  I had 2 amazing baby showers, 1 given by lovely co-workers and the 2nd given by family and close friends!  (I'm still waiting on pics from my 1st shower) but in the mean time, here is the 2nd one:

First things first, ALL the credit that went in to making my baby shower as absolutely fabulous as it was goes to these lovely ladies whom I love so very much, my hostesses:
These ladies poured their heart and soul and some very long nights into my shower and I could not be more grateful to them!!

Everything that was planned was a surprise to me so when I walked in, I was overwhelmed with all the wonderful goodness I saw!

What a sweet and clever way for Zane and I to remember and cherish this day!  Every guest left us a sweet note and some words of wisdom!

The favors:

You may not remember, but in one of my very first blogs I told the story of how we announced our "bun in the oven".  How fitting was this as favors?? LOVE it!!

The Spread:
Aren't those flowers fabulous??  The "vase" is an alphabet block that my mother-in-law worked so hard on painting it, such a great idea!!  It will be going in the nursery!

My mom and mother-in-law found this, this was something I saw and really wanted and look how great it looks amidst the flowers!

The invitation (a little too bright to see, sorry)

Sitr sticks made by my talented sister-in-law and dad!

Milk and Cookies Bar:

Such a cute idea!!!  Loved every bit of this!

And there's more...
Me and my wonderful sister-in-law, notice the adorably creative corsage she made!

This is an amazing growth chart specially made all by my aunt and cousin, who is a very talented artist!
There you have it!!  I feel abundantly loved and Zane will too!!  A BIG thank you to all who made this day possible and so incredibly special!! Now just a count down to his arrival!!

Scentsy Anyone??

I have the most wonderful Scentsy consultant, she is also a great friend of mine, Mindy Kral!  I was in desperate need of new scents, so tired of the cinnamon-y and spicy scents of fall and winter.  I needed some for Spring/Summer!  She was so gracious when she let me take a wiff of all the scents so I could make an informed decision!  I am sure many of you Scentsy lovers, like me, browse the catalogs and the name sounds as if it would smell great but you get it and realize, "ok this is not the scent for me!"  On the flip side, there are so many that I had just passed right over not thinking they would actually smell great!!  Here are the new scents I got:
This is my new FAVE!!!!!  It almost smells like a light/airy perfume you've been wearing all day, so it's not overpowering, it's subtle.  It's supposedly a favorite for many Scentsy lovers!

This one smells similar to Luna!  I love it!!

I have this one going in my spare bedroom right now!

This one has been a favorite of mine for a long time!

This I am very excited about!  I bought this for Zane's room to give it a newborn baby scent!  Right now it smells like paint and new carpet-not bad scents mind you, I just want it to smell sweet and innocent like a precious little baby!  Check it out:

Lenny the Lamb!  Isn't he sweet???  I think I will place him on the bookshelf for now, he will be filled with this scent:
Newborn Nursery, what else?? I can't wait! Don't worry I will remove the scent pack when he decides he wants to play with little Lenny!

Head over to Mindy's page and order your scentsy warmers and scents today!!
