What I'm Lovin' Wednesdays

WOW! It's been a long time since I've posted one of these, so theres going to be ALOT!!! I'm linking up with Jamie @ This Kind of Love and Heather @ The Curvy Life

First what I am loving SO INCREDIBL MUCH is this little guy...

I love his dimples...

I love the way he sleeps...

I love his silly faces...

I love his smile...

We love baths!

and I love how he sucks on his imaginary pacifier in his sleep (see the video):

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the tv in his room, it helps us stay awake in the middle of the night or early early morning to feed him!

These swaddling blankets by Aden + Anais, I just love!! They are light weight and big!
I love his pack in play! I have it set up in the living room so he can nap in there while I get stuff done.
We have this sounds machine in his cradle, it has several settings such a heart beats and other white noise to soothe him and recreate womb sounds.  You can also hook your ipod up to it!

I absolutely love my new vacuum, the Dyson Animal, not the ball one, this one has more power!!

I am loving Pinterest! It's so addicting and I really cannot explain why!  It's like an online bulletin board that you can "pin" pics, recipes, ideas, etc on. Give it a try!

I really love the new Starbucks Iced Via Ready Brew, if you haven't tried it, DO!!  I also love my little cup I bought just for my iced coffee!

I really love being a housewife and stay at home mom!  My home seems to be in order most of the time, I am with my baby all day long and I get to cook nice meals for myself and my hard workin hubby and I can run errands whenever I want, nap when I want (and when baby allows)... Oh and did I mention????

I LOVE THIS GUY!!

He had his shots, poor baby!!

I told you there was alot I'm loving at the moment!  Hope everyone has a blessed Wednesday!

Life as a new mommy...

Zane is 6 weeks old now and grows more and more beautiful every day!! My husband and I fall more in love by the minute and just love to stare at him.  He makes the cutest and funniest faces and the sweetest sounds!  When he's awake he always has this look of pure happiness that just warms my heart!!  Lately he is cooing more and starting to smile. When he is awake he is so bright-eyed and LOVES to look at light and ceiling fans. The car puts him to sleep and a good swaddle comforts him!  Bath time usually relaxes him, and he likes them pretty well as long as you keep him warm (he hates being cold). I just love the smell of a clean baby!!! He hardly ever fusses and cries only when he is hungry.  Sleep is a distant memory but now I think I am getting used to functioning on much less than I used to.  I'm not going to lie, being a new mother is hard but also so fun...it's a total life change but I LOVE our life so much more with him in it!! It's starting to get easier now that I have my groove. People tell you that it's challenging and how much your life will change and how unbelievably rewarding it is and you love your child an unmeasurable amount but only until you become a parent can you fully understand how right they are!  One little smile can make you forget a tough day! I wouldn't want our life any other way!!

My husband is a natural!!  He had zero experience with babies, and from the moment Zane was born he took on the role of daddy as if this is what he's been meant to do his whole life!!  I love seeing them together! They look alot alike, Zane has his lips and cheeks and ears.  I could kiss those lips to pieces!!

Zane had his newborn pictures done by a sweet lady Julie at PhotoJewels Photography.  I just got my prints in and I could fill my home up with every single picture!  Here are a few of my favorites!

Being a stay at home mommy is such a gift!!  I get to spend every day with my baby!  I am so blessed to be able to do this!  He is just the sweetest baby, I am honored to be his mommy!!

The Arrival of Zane

Hey there!! Long time, no post!  I have been rather busy trying to settle in to a new life and new routine since the arrival of our baby boy!  The next couple posts will give you a glimpse into the past few weeks and my new role as "mommy"

Let me start from day one. I went in the night before to be induced the next day, no medical reason, we were just ready and my doctor believed Zane was too!  The next morning we got the process started around 8:30am, at first I was progressing slowly and my doctor and nurses told me to get rest that this was probably going to last all night.  Then suddenly it started going really fast!! Within 1 hour I was only halfway there to being complete!  It didn't take long at all for Zane to make his appearance and at 6:42pm he was here and weighing in at 6 pounds 11 ounces!!

When I first heard his cry, I cried tears of absolute joy!!!!  May 23, 2011 was THE happiest day of my life (other than my wedding day)!

Giving birth to our son was the most wonderful thing I have ever experienced!! I would do it over and over and over again!!

Our very first moments together were precious!! I will cherish the memories and the rush of feelings I felt forever!!!  As soon as he was laid in my arms he fixed his eyes on mine and did not look away.  We sat there gazing into eachothers eyes and taking eachother in for a good while.  The first thing I noticed is that he has my eyes and dimples.  Most of the rest of him is my husband!  He is the most beautiful baby I have ever laid eyes on!!!  I cannot believe he's mine and every time I look at him I am amazed and know I am looking at a miracle!!
Welcome to the world baby boy!  We love you so very much!!!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!!

Linking up today with Heather @ The Curvy Life and Jamie with This Kind of Love.

Since being 9 months pregnant now and very uncomfortable here are the things I am loving right now!

My Boppy pregnancy pillow!  This baby is a life saver!!!  I turn it into a "u" shape so on one side it supports my achy back and on the other it supports my heavy belly!  I can actually sleep pretty comfortably!!

God bless my hubby!  He gives me nightly foot massages after I take my shower.  Since I can no longer reach my feet or legs well enough to apply my favorite lotion:
he goes ahead and rubs my feet while he lotions me up!  I look forward to this every night and so do my poor, achy swollen feet!!

I am absolutely LOVING my brand new, hand-made cradle built by my dad himself!  And the cradle bedding hand-made by my mother herself! I cannot wait to lay Zane down in this beauty!!

You can see more of his nursery here!  Now Zane hurry it up, we are all waiting impatiently!

Nursery Reveal!!

The long awaited nursery is finished...for now!  It turned out just as I hoped and so relieved it is done!!  We have 3 weeks left (...and counting) for Mr. Zane to make his grand debut!!  Hope you all like his nursery as much as we do!

To add some special touches to the nursery I went to the future grandparents (on my side)...My dad is pretty gifted when it comes to wood-working, (it is his livelihood) you may remember my blog post about the gorgeous mantle he built.  But check out the fabulous bookshelf he built for his very first grandson...

And...
I always pictured my dad building this for me one day, and he made my dream come true! (YES! He actually built this!)  It glides too!

You may be wondering where I got the stunning cradle bedding...well in comes my mother, the Grammie to be, she made it, all by hand!  She is a very talented seamstress!

Not only did she make the cradle bedding, she made this diaper stacker:

And these changing pad covers:

I feel very blessed to have parents that can create these beautiful things for Zane and I to cherish forever!

Everything is ready and waiting and we couldn't be more excited and ANXIOUS for our handsome little man to arrive!!
