New Name, New Look!

***Trying out new names and a new blog look. Please ignore the mess!***

I have debated so much whether to post this or not. On one hand it's embarrassing that I let my body get to the point it was. Before I had my son, I was very fit. And after his birth I pretty much just got lazy about my needs and what's good for me and my body. I let myself go.

Now on the other hand, I'm proud of how hard I have worked to get my body somewhat back to where it was. I know I am not done working on my body yet and I do not know if it will ever be what it was before pregnancy. But here it goes...

This was me, the summer of 2010. Just a few months before I got pregnant with Zane.

And here is where I let myself get to (I'm cringing). Me in January 2014.

And my progress so far, me May 2014

Before and Lately (I won't say "after" because I'm not done)

I'm not done yet, I still plan on leaning up and continuing to do everything I have been doing. Hopefully I'll be able to inspire and motivate other Mommies out there to get fit and healthy!

A Vintage Glam Engagement Party!

My SIL is getting married in a few weeks so a celebration was in order! I had been pinning and planning for months on end and I have to say it came together BEAUTIFULLY! And the Bride and Groom-to-be were very pleased with the party thrown in their honor!!

The whole theme was centered around Heather & Stephen. Southern all the way! From the invitations to their favorite food, and some Texas shaped cornbread to boot!

The back

This gorgeous streamer banner was handmade by me, no easy feat!

For a surprise to the Bride and Groom-to-be I had custom silhouettes made by Bleu Print Shoppe
Pecan Pie-Heather's fave!

This was an idea my Mother-In-Law had, old bed springs turned utensil holder

Banana Pudding is Stephen's favorite dessert!

Something Old-Write down your favorite memory of the Engaged Couple!
Hang On To The Date!
The doily banners were hand painted and strung my MIL and I
The gold cans turned to candle holders were punched out by me.

All the printables were handmade by Bleu Print Shoppe:

  • The Invitation
  • "Hang on to the Date"
  • Water Bottle Labels
  • Silhouettes
  • "Something Old" prints

Zane's 2nd Birthday Party!

Zane has been obsessed with Sesame Street these days, particularly Elmo and Cookie Monster or as he says "Melmo" and "Cook-Cook". Of course, choosing a theme this year was easy!! It was such a fun party, Zane was talking about it for weeks!!

My good friend Amy at Bleu Print Shoppe created the adorable invitation.

My mom and I made these

Homemade by Zane's Grammie

How appropriate are the Fruitables juice boxes?

Balloons are a must!!
I made this rag banner

This was a HUGE hit!!

In the favor bags was a small coloring book, crayons and a package of Goldfish crackers
And for the rest, I got off etsy.com and other online sources:
